Changing presentation themes

Themes control the background colour and text colour of your slides. A dark theme with white text is ideal for most church projectors and low-light environments. A light theme works better for bright rooms or smaller screens. You can switch themes at any time — even during a live presentation — so you can adjust on the fly if the lighting in your venue changes.

Changing the theme

Theme switching is instant and does not interrupt the presentation. The congregation will see the new colours on the next slide transition.

1. 1Open the presentation controller.
2. 2At the bottom of the panel, you will see a row of small slide thumbnail swatches.
3. 3Click any thumbnail to apply that theme instantly — the slide updates immediately.
4. 4Your last selected theme is remembered the next time you open Presentation Mode.

Background images

If your setlist has a background image set, it will appear behind the lyrics on every slide. The theme text colour is applied on top of the image. Choose a theme with high-contrast text to ensure the lyrics remain readable over your background image. You can adjust or remove the background image from within the Setlist Builder at any time.

Tips for better projection

1. 1Use a dark background with white or light text for most church environments.
2. 2Avoid very busy background images — they can make lyrics hard to read.
3. 3Test your theme on the projector before the service starts.
4. 4Increase font size with the + key if the back rows cannot read the text clearly.
